Privacy notice

Last updated 9 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers this website only. When we handle your customers' data as part of work we do for you, that is set out in the agreement we make with you.

Who we are

This website belongs to MeasuredOS, which is responsible for the personal information described here. "We", "us" and "our" in this notice mean MeasuredOS.

For any question about your information, or to use any of the rights below, send us a message through our contact page and say it's about privacy.

What we collect, and why

When you send us a message

We collect your name, your email address, your company if you give it, and what you write. We use them to reply to you and, if you want to, to talk about working together. We do this because it's in both our interests that we can answer your enquiry.

When you apply to work with us

We collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, where you would work from, the kind of work you're looking for, your CV and anything else you write. We use them to consider you for roles with us and to get in touch about them. We do this with your agreement, which you give on the form and can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete your details.

When you book a call

Bookings are made through Microsoft Bookings, part of the Microsoft service we use for email and calendar. You give your name, your email address and any answers to the booking page's questions, and they come to us so that we can hold the call. Microsoft's own privacy statement covers how it handles information on its booking page.

When you visit the site

Like any website, ours receives some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you ask for. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the site and keep it secure. We also count visits to the site, so we can see which pages are read, where visitors arrive from, which country they are in and how quickly pages load. This uses a small script from our hosting provider. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't identify you. The contact form also checks that it's being used by a person rather than a bot, using information about your browser and device. The cost calculator keeps the figures you enter in your browser while the page is open, so they aren't lost if it reloads. They never reach us, and they're cleared when you close the tab. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who helps us handle it

We use a few service providers, each handling your information only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website, counts visits to it and runs the bot check on its forms.
  • Resend, which delivers what you send through the forms to us by email.
  • Microsoft, whose email, calendar and booking page we use to reply to you, take bookings and hold calls.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it's held

Some of these providers are based in, or store information in, countries outside the UK and the European Union, including the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards data protection law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it, and then delete it.

If you apply to work with us, we keep your details and your CV for up to twelve months so that we can consider you for roles as they come up, and then delete them. Ask us at any time and we'll delete them sooner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete it
  • stop or limit how we use it
  • give it to you in a form you can take elsewhere

To ask, send us a message through our contact page. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office, and in Ireland the Data Protection Commission. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top of it.
